TAYLOR AND CARTER MINI SHOOT

So whenever i am trying to beef up my portfolio, i like to give these guys a call. They are always willing to do whatever i ask and they are pretty photogenic, so it's hard to get bad shots of them! it's kind of a win win. winwin? win-win? anyway, for the first shoot i had some weird vision in my head of bubble gum and headphones and i was able to get pretty close to re-creating that, but the second shoot i really didn't have anything in mind, so we went for GQ model. I think that might be me default go-to. whatever. it works :)

CHRISTMAS PORTRAITS

This year I decided to do some Christmas portraits of my kids. I had a pretty neat snowman sweater vest for my boy, but he wasn't that into it. Hence the hoodie :) My daughter on the other hand is only 1, so she's pretty cool with whatever i stick on her.

SKYLAR and MARSHALL

This couple recently got engaged and were in need of some 'couples' shots. I knew they liked the country look, so i had this plan to take them to a great outdoor location with lots of huge trees, but they had some issues with their truck being broken into! and all of their stuff stolen! so the shoot started about an hour late, and we had about 10 minutes of sunlight, so basically it turned into a night shoot. I hadn't really anticipated this when choosing the location, but i thought it turned out pretty cool after all!

COUNTRY in the CITY

So this young lady is quite a country girl. She hunts and mostly wears jeans and sometimes cowboy boots, so when i dressed her up like some kind of city slicker model type, she was a bit uncomfortable.  But i have to say, she did a great job with the modeling! She is actually leaving to join the Air Force in a few months so i guess modeling will probably not be in her future, but bad-a**ness most likely will be!

FRIENDLY SKATER GUY

So the friendly skater guy's name is actually Will. I was doing another photo shoot near the skate park and we attracted a bit of a crowd. I was testing out my new grid light at about 9:30pm and I thought, hey, skaters would be fun to photograph! So Will turned out to be interested in photography himself and was more than "WILLing" to pose for me. sigh...I kill me. Anyhoo, I dig the new grid. It was only used in the first one, tho. The second two just a HSP and an umbrella.

NIGEL

Nigel is not British, as his name might suggest. He is, however, a guitar enthusiast! This shoot was pretty fun because not only was it my first shoot with my new gear, but we caused quite a spectacle! Cars that drove by would slow down to see what we were doing; several even honked! We almost felt famous...for a bit.
